Our Crib

We are back from our trip to Virginia to see Matt's family! We had such a wonderful week spending time with the entire family, and we got to see some of our friends also. I'll recap more of our trip later this week.

While we were there, Matt's parents bought our crib and changing table! The Pottery Barn Kids crib is actually the one we had spotted online that was backordered for a couple months. We found it in the store and were able to buy the floor model of both the crib and changing table.

You'll have to excuse our self-timed photo. I really wanted a picture of us together after we had assembled the crib. After about 10 tries, this is the best we could get!

I've been making a little progress on nursery decor. We made a trip to IKEA where I picked up curtains, a couple small shelves, and some frames. I'm excited to share the rest of the pictures with you, but for now, here is a sneak peek of the crib and changing table.

Nancy and Jerry, thank you so much for the nursery furniture! They fit perfectly in Baby A's nursery, and we love how it's beginning to look.

Next, we'll be on the hunt for a crib mattress and a rocker/glider.
Do you have any recommendations?

  1. I love the furniture! Looking so cute. White is my favorite for a nursery. I see the frame I got you, too! :)

  2. Love reading your blog posts and keeping up with the life of the Aikens! The furniture is really pretty and I think baby A will like it too ;)

  3. The rocker was the most stressful baby decision we had -- seriously. Hard to find something attractive at under crazy money. And also hard to use it outside the nursery -- something we desired to be able to do.

We settled on a leather Poang from IKEA. And also the IKEA crib mattress. Inexpensive and trustworthy stuff.
