If you missed Monday's post, I am doing a "1 Year" week, highlighting our wedding, reception, first year together, and answering some questions from YOU! Be sure to check out Monday's post if you haven't already and leave a comment.
Our wedding reception was in an 1870s Amish-restored barn, and it was absolutely perfect for us! It was rustic but elegant at the same time - and was open to allow for the fellowship we desired. The dance floor wasn't huge, which is good in my opinion since that means crowded :).
Looking back on these pictures makes me laugh a bit. Matt and I had never danced together, other than when we were trying to pick our first dance song song (Live Forever by Drew and Ellie Holcomb)! And on top of that, even though I grew up as a dancer, I typically hate fast dancing in front of a crowd. We danced the entire night, and it was one of the funnest nights ever (though I may be a bit biased)!
This is one of my favorite reception pictures. I love when Matt laughs!
We cut into a cupcake and froze the cake for our one year anniversary. More on that later this week!
These little birds are one of my favorite wedding details. They are now showcased in our living room.
Oh how my husband loves to dance. If you can't tell from the photos, we had a blast!
See? Everybody danced. Even our grandparents!
We exited surrounded by our family and friends, feeling extremely blessed!! Thank you to all who came to celebrate with us!
Stay tuned for more as I recap some of our favorite memories from the past year!

Love love the fireworks exit! Looks like a blast! My marriage question for you is: How do you keep your relationship interesting/fun once you've gotten into a routine of living together?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! Seriously, it looks like you had a blast! Thanks for sharing!
